The 7Semi Buck Converter Module is a compact synchronous DC-DC step-down regulator designed to provide a fixed 5V output from input supplies ranging from 6V to 40V DC. Based on the AP64060 synchronous buck regulator, it supports loads up to 600mA and is suitable for powering microcontrollers, sensors, communication modules, embedded electronics, IoT devices, and other 5V circuits from higher-voltage DC sources.
The converter integrates high-side and low-side power MOSFETs to provide synchronous rectification without requiring an external catch diode. A 2MHz switching frequency enables a compact power-stage design, while Pulse-Frequency Modulation (PFM) helps reduce power consumption during light-load operation. Integrated undervoltage lockout, output overvoltage protection, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and thermal shutdown support reliable operation in industrial, automation, embedded, and general-purpose power applications.
