The 7Semi Buck Converter Module is a compact synchronous DC-DC step-down regulator designed to generate a fixed 2.5V output from input supplies ranging from 4.5V to 40V. It supports output currents up to 600mA, making it suitable for powering low-voltage sensors, microcontrollers, communication circuits, embedded electronics, and other 2.5V loads from higher-voltage DC supplies.
The converter uses integrated high-side and low-side power MOSFETs, eliminating the need for an external catch diode while supporting efficient synchronous conversion. A 2MHz switching frequency allows the power stage to remain compact, while Pulse-Frequency Modulation (PFM) helps reduce switching losses under light-load conditions. Built-in undervoltage, overvoltage, overcurrent, and thermal-protection functions support reliable operation across embedded, industrial, IoT, and general-purpose power applications.
