The VCNL4020-GS08 is a fully integrated ambient light and proximity sensor that combines an infrared emitter, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and signal conditioning circuitry into a compact VDFN-10 package. Designed for mobile, consumer, computing, and industrial applications, the sensor provides accurate proximity detection and ambient light measurement while minimizing board space and external component requirements. Its 16-bit resolution enables precise sensing performance for display brightness control, touch screen management, and object detection applications.

The integrated signal processing IC and I2C communication interface simplify system integration and reduce microcontroller workload.
