Full-Duplex TTL-to-RS232 Interface Base with MAX232 and 12V Power Input
The M5Stack A136 Atomic RS232 Base is a compact serial communication expansion base designed for M5Stack ATOM-series controllers. It integrates a MAX232 level-conversion IC to provide bidirectional conversion between the ATOM controller’s TTL UART signals and standard RS232 signal levels. This allows ATOM-based systems to communicate with industrial instruments, computers, controllers, serial peripherals, and other equipment that uses an RS232 interface.
The base also incorporates an AOZ1282CI DC-DC step-down regulator, allowing an external 12V power source to supply the connected ATOM controller through the expansion base. Full-duplex communication supports simultaneous transmit and receive operation, while the external 4-pin terminal simplifies connection to RS232 equipment and external power. The A136 package includes the RS232 base only and does not include an Atom-Lite controller.
