190 mAh Rechargeable Battery Expansion with IP5303 Power Management for M5Stack ATOM Series
The M5Stack ATOM TailBat is a compact external battery accessory designed to provide portable power for compatible M5Stack ATOM controllers. It connects directly to the tail of an ATOM device and integrates a 190 mAh rechargeable lithium battery managed by the IP5303 power-management IC. This plug-and-play design allows ATOM-based projects to operate without remaining connected to a fixed USB power source, making it useful for mobile IoT devices, portable controllers, and compact embedded prototypes.
TailBat includes a front power button and LED status indicator for convenient power and charging control. A single button press turns the power on, while a double press turns it off. The indicator flashes during charging and remains illuminated when the battery is fully charged. Its pass-through interface design preserves the original ATOM wiring and expansion functionality after installation. The built-in battery is charged through the USB Type-C interface only and cannot be charged through the Grove interface.
