Smart Wi-Fi Power Socket with HLW8032 Energy Metering, 10 A Relay Control and ATOM Integration
The M5Stack Atom Socket Kit is a smart power-control and energy-monitoring solution designed around the M5Stack ATOM ecosystem. It integrates the HLW8032 high-precision energy-metering IC, allowing electrical parameters including line voltage, current, active power, apparent power, and power factor to be measured through UART communication. An internal single-channel relay controls the connected load, supporting AC 100 V to 120 V at up to 10 A for compatible appliances and electrical equipment.
When paired with the included Atom-Lite controller and its Wi-Fi connectivity, the socket can be integrated into connected smart-home and remote-control applications for switching loads and monitoring energy usage. The HLW8032 uses a Sigma-Delta ADC architecture and supports a 1000:1 dynamic measurement range, while the HY2.0-4P interface provides additional external control connectivity for relay input and button-output signals. The Japanese/American-standard socket format and PSE-standard design make it suitable for compatible regional applications.
