The Compute Module 4 IoT Router Carrier Board Mini is an expansion board for the internet that is based on the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. By connecting a gigabit network card via PCle, it provides two full-speed gigabit network ports for the Raspberry Pi CM4, resulting in better performance, lower CPU usage, and higher stability during long-term work compared to using a USB network card. Despite its small size of 55 x 62mm, this board still features the GPIO pin header of the Raspberry Pi, allowing it to connect with other actuators, sensors, and smart cooling fans. Additionally, it includes a USB2.0 interface that can connect with mobile hard drives, printers, WIFI modules, LTF modules, and more.
The Compute Module 4 IoT Router Carrier Board Mini now supports the OpenWRT open-source router system, making it easy to set up and use as a router. It is also compatible with Raspberry OS, Ubuntu Server, and other Raspberry Pi systems.
Thanks to the powerful performance of the BCM2711 4 core 1.5GHz Cortex-A72 and the extensive software support from the Raspberry Pi community, this board is an excellent foundation for creating high-performance gateways, smart routers, and home IoT platforms. It can also be used as a mini-NAS, wireless network bridge, or LTE Internet terminal when connected to peripherals.
It's important to handle the board-socket of the CM4 with care, as it's fragile. Please align the direction correctly before pressing it down, and avoid repeatedly plugging and unplugging the CM4 module. Always double-check the CM4 installation direction before powering up.
ETH1: Compute Module 4 Built-In
ETH2: PCI Express 1000BASE-T NIC
1x USB-C: Power only
1x USB-C: USB 2.0 High Speed
Note: The CM4 Compute Module is not included.
