The Hobby Eagle A3 Pro is an advanced 6-axis gyro stabiliser flight controller designed for RC fixed-wing aircraft and copter platforms, stepping up from the 3-axis gyro class with a combined 3-axis gyroscope and 3-axis accelerometer MEMS sensor suite on a 32-bit MCU hardware platform for improved attitude sensing resolution, faster stabilisation response, and more reliable performance across the full flight envelope of both beginner training aircraft and experienced aerobatic builds. The 32-bit MCU and high-precision 6-axis MEMS sensor combination represents a hardware generation advance over 8-bit gyro stabiliser controllers in this class, delivering the processing headroom required for the A3 Pro's expanded 6-mode flight mode framework and the more sophisticated attitude estimation algorithms that underpin LEVEL and HOVER mode operation on fixed-wing platforms where those modes are operationally demanding to implement reliably.
Receiver compatibility covers standard PWM, PPM, and multi-protocol digital serial receivers, making the A3 Pro directly compatible with the full range of RC transmitter and receiver systems in active use across the hobby market without requiring protocol adapters or receiver replacements in existing builds. Three wing type configurations - standard fixed-wing, delta-wing (flying wing), and V-tail - are supported with internal control surface mixing and stabilisation axis assignment handled by the flight controller for each selected wing type, eliminating external mixer modules and transmitter-side mixing requirements. Separated basic gain adjustment for aileron, elevator, and rudder channels gives pilots independent per-axis stabilisation tuning without affecting the gain settings of unrelated control axes, allowing precise airframe-specific configuration that accounts for the differing stabilisation requirements of each control surface in both calm and turbulent flight conditions.
