High Precision GP8600 16-Bit DAC Module with I2C & PWM Input for 0-5V, 0-10V and 4-20mA Industrial Signal Conversion
The Gravity GP8600 1-channel 16-bit DAC module is a high-precision digital-to-analog converter designed to interface microcontrollers with industrial control systems. It converts I2C or PWM signals into stable analog outputs including 0–5V, 0–10V, and 4–20mA, enabling seamless control of devices such as lighting systems, inverters, valves, and actuators. With a linearity error of just +-0.2%, this module delivers accurate and stable output performance, making it suitable for precision automation and process control applications.
Engineered for flexibility and scalability, the GP8600 supports cascading of up to 8 modules, allowing multi-channel expansion for complex systems. It is fully compatible with popular development platforms like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi, making it ideal for IoT, industrial automation, and embedded control projects. Its robust design ensures reliable operation in demanding environments, while the Gravity interface simplifies wiring and integration.
Key Features
Industrial-Grade Signal Conversion
The GP8600 DAC module performs admirably in settings needing industrial standard compliance. Many microcontrollers only output weak 3.3V analog signals; this converter converts these logic signals to industry-standard 0-10V voltage or 4-20mA current loops. The GP8600 can now drive water pumps, servo motors, and heavy-duty lighting drivers directly. The addition of a 4-20mA current mode is especially beneficial for carrying signals over long distances in noisy electrical situations without signal loss.
Flexible Control & Expansion
The GP8600 16-bit converter is designed for scalability and offers 8 configurable I2C addresses, allowing you to operate up to 8 separate channels from a single microcontroller interface. This capability facilitates the wiring of multi-axis motor controllers or sophisticated LED arrays. Additionally, the gadget accepts a wide 3.3V-5V power supply and uses the standard Gravity PH2.0 interface, ensuring plug-and-play compatibility with the DFRobot ecosystem and popular platforms such as STM32 and Raspberry Pi.
Applications:
Motor and Inverter Control: Precise 0-10V speed control for variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Smart lighting systems: 0-10V LED drivers support flicker-free, high-resolution dimming.
Fluid Automation: Positioning accuracy for 4-20mA proportional valves and water pumps.
Lab Signal Generation: Creating unique voltage waveforms to test sensors and analog circuits.
Device Retrofitting: Converting outdated analog appliances into smart, microcontroller-controlled gadgets.
