AM32 50A ESC with Burner Module - AT32F421 ARM Cortex-M4 120MHz, Dual Cooling Design, 60A Enclosed and 75A Peak for High-Current RC Drone and Vehicle Applications
The AM32 50A ESC with Burner Module is a high-current open-source brushless speed controller built around the Artery AT32F421 ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller running at up to 120MHz, providing a 32-bit processing platform specifically designed for the AM32 firmware's safety-first, smooth, rapid-start, and linear throttle architecture across RC drone and multi-platform vehicle applications. The AT32F421 MCU with 64KB Flash and 16KB RAM delivers the computational headroom required for AM32's sinusoidal start mode, variable PWM frequency, and KISS-standard telemetry processing at the high switching speeds demanded by 50A-class high-current motor control without the processing bottlenecks that limit lower-frequency 8-bit and 16-bit ESC controllers in demanding high-power scenarios. The industrial-grade operating temperature range of -40°C to 105°C reflects the AT32F421's specification for sustained, reliable operation across the thermal extremes encountered in both high-ambient-temperature outdoor RC and enclosed enclosure-mounted ESC installations.
A dual cooling design is the defining hardware feature of this ESC, offering 2 distinct thermal management configurations selectable by the builder for different deployment scenarios. The no-enclosure variant provides a lightweight, open-air configuration rated at 50A continuous current, suited to RC drone and open-frame vehicle builds where airflow over the ESC board is sufficient for passive and forced-air cooling at 50A sustained output. The enclosed variant adds a protective enclosure that functions as an active thermal management element, improving heat dissipation through increased thermal mass and conduction area to raise the sustained current rating to 60A continuous and 75A peak, suited to high-power demand scenarios where the additional current headroom justifies the weight and size of the enclosure. The included Burner Module enables AM32 firmware flashing and upgrading via Betaflight direct transfer, single-line serial interface, or Arduino, covering all three common AM32 firmware update pathways without requiring specialised programmer hardware beyond what most RC builders already have available. DSHOT300 and DSHOT600 protocol support, bidirectional DSHOT, servo PWM compatibility, and KISS-standard electronic tuning telemetry maintain full feature parity with the broader AM32 ESC ecosystem.
