RedHobby AM32 60A Brushless ESC for 2-4S LiPo - 6V 2A BEC Open-Source Speed Controller for RC Drone, Car, and Remote-Control Platforms
The RedHobby AM32 60A Brushless Electronic Speed Controller is a high-current, open-source firmware-driven speed controller rated at 60A continuous on a 2-4S LiPo input, stepping up the current capacity from the 30A variant for RC platforms where heavier brushless motors, larger propeller diameters, or higher mechanical loads demand sustained drive current beyond the 30A class. Running on the AM32 open-source firmware platform, this ESC supports DSHOT digital signal protocols, RPM telemetry output, and full PC-based parameter configuration through the AM32 Configurator, making it directly compatible with Betaflight and ArduPilot flight controller stacks as well as conventional RC transmitter and receiver setups used in ground and surface vehicle applications. The firmware's active development cycle and open-source architecture give builders access to ongoing updates and extended configurability not typically available on closed-firmware alternatives in this current class.
The integrated 6V / 2A BEC output delivers regulated power sufficient for receivers paired with standard or higher-voltage digital servos, onboard FPV electronics, and auxiliary control hardware without requiring a separate voltage regulator in the build. At 60A continuous, this ESC handles the sustained current demands of high-KV brushless motors on 3S and 4S power in RC drones, high-performance RC cars, and custom electric platforms where motor stall currents and full-throttle draw regularly exceed the headroom of 30A-class units. The combination of AM32 firmware flexibility, a high-output 6V BEC, and a 60A continuous rating across a wide 2-4S voltage range makes this a capable, multi-platform unit for builders prioritising open-source configurability alongside genuine high-current performance.
