Description
The Waveshare RP2040-Matrix Development Board features an onboard 5×5 RGB LED matrix for captivating lighting displays. It is built around the official RP2040 Dual Core Processor, a microcontroller chip designed by Raspberry Pi in the UK. This board boasts a dual-core Arm Cortex M0+ processor with flexible clock speeds of up to 133 MHz. It offers 264KB of SRAM and 2MB of onboard Flash memory. With USB 1.1 support for both device and host functionality, the board supports low-power sleep and dormant modes. Programming is made easy with drag-and-drop capability using mass storage over USB. The board provides 20 × multi-function GPIO pins and includes 2 × SPI, 2 × I2C, 2 × UART, 4 × 12-bit ADC, and 16 × controllable PWM channels. It also incorporates an accurate clock and timer on-chip, a temperature sensor, and accelerated floating-point libraries. With 8 × Programmable I/O (PIO) state machines, the board enables custom peripheral support.
