The M5Stack Scale Kit with Weight Unit is an electronic weighing solution designed for IoT measurement, load monitoring, and smart-scale development. The kit uses 4 sets of half-bridge resistive strain gauges to provide a total weighing capacity of up to 200 kg. Sensor signals are processed by the HX711 high-precision 24-bit A/D converter, allowing small resistance changes from the strain gauges to be converted into digital weight data for processing by a compatible M5Stack main controller.

The HX711 integrates a low-noise programmable amplifier with selectable gains of 32, 64, and 128, supporting accurate acquisition of low-level strain-gauge signals. It provides a 10 SPS output data rate for continuous weighing applications. The included strain gauges offer 1.0 +/- 0.1 mV/V output sensitivity, 0.3% F.S. non-linearity, and 0.3% F.S. comprehensive accuracy. This combination provides a convenient platform for building connected weighing systems, digital scales, inventory-monitoring devices, and other weight-measurement projects.
