The DFR0009 shield seamlessly integrates a 16x2 LCD display and a 5-button keypad with your Arduino board, empowering you to create interactive projects. Visualize data, receive user input, and navigate menus – all without connecting external components.
This LCD Keypad shield for Arduino and other models is quite well-liked. It has six push buttons that are momentary and a 2x16 LCD display. To communicate with the LCD, pins 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 are utilized. The five pushbuttons can only be read by a single Analog Pin 0. Backlight on/off and contrast control are supported by the LCD shield. Additionally, it provides simple analog sensor plugging and display by exposing five analog pins with DFRobot color coding. The onboard LED shows that the power is on.
With the five buttons on this LCD Arduino shield—select, up, right, down, and left—you can navigate menus and make choices directly from a single board that's attached to your Arduino project, eliminating the need for a huge tower of shields.
Because of this design, you may continue to connect sensors to the remaining pins and utilize the push buttons for menu selection and monitoring—even when playing video games. Applications for projects need to be tested or debugged. In most cases, having information displayed immediately is helpful when a computer is out of reach. This update is going to be very helpful if you are planning to develop anything that is not computer-connected and you need to monitor the program's operation once it is in place.
Only the unused LCD pins are visible on the top side of the board, concealing the used ones. In this manner, there will be no more conflicts with the LCD pins on top of the board. APC and Bluetooth v3 sockets are included in this design to allow data communication between your robot and yourself.
The shield is made for 'classic' Arduino boards, like the Diecimilla, Uno, and Duemilanove.
