Description

The DFRobot heart rate and oximeter sensor combines the Maxim MAX30102 chip with an MCU that includes algorithms for heart rate and oximetry measurement.

Using PPG (PhotoPlethysmoGraphy), the MAX30102 captures data which is then processed by the MCU to produce heart rate and oximetry values. These values can be output through either I2C or UART, making the sensor simple to use and reducing the resource consumption of the main controller. Additionally, an accompanying software program is available to enable convenient data reading from a PC.
