Ultra Low Power Omnipolar Push Pull Hall Effect Sensor For Battery Powered Position Sensing Applications

The DRV5032FALPGM Digital Omnipolar Hall Effect Sensor is an ultra-low-power magnetic switch designed for compact, battery-operated, and energy-efficient electronic systems. Featuring omnipolar magnetic detection, the sensor responds to both north and south magnetic poles, simplifying magnet placement and installation while ensuring reliable magnetic field detection. The push-pull output provides direct digital interfacing with microcontrollers and control circuits, making it suitable for a wide range of sensing applications.

Designed for long battery life, the DRV5032FALPGM incorporates an internal oscillator that periodically samples the magnetic field and updates the output while maintaining extremely low current consumption. The FA version offers a maximum operating point of 4.8 mT, providing a good balance between sensitivity and immunity to unintended magnetic interference. Operating from 1.65 V to 5.5 V and housed in a TO-92-3 through-hole package, the sensor is ideal for position sensing, tamper detection, IoT devices, medical equipment, and contactless activation systems.
