ESP32-S3 Camera Development Kit with GC0308 Camera, 9-Axis Motion Sensing, 8 MB PSRAM and UVC Support
The M5Stack AtomS3R Camera Kit is a compact IoT development controller integrating image capture, motion sensing, and wireless connectivity in a 24.0 x 24.0 x 13.5 mm form factor. It is powered by the ESP32-S3-PICO-1-N8R8 SoC with 8 MB Flash, 8 MB PSRAM, and Wi-Fi connectivity. A 0.3 MP GC0308 camera provides image-acquisition capability, while protective glass in front of the camera helps reduce dust exposure. The enhanced 3D antenna is designed to provide stable wireless performance for connected embedded applications.
For motion and orientation sensing, AtomS3R-CAM combines a BMI270 6-axis IMU with a BMM150 3-axis geomagnetic sensor to create a 9-axis sensing system. Factory firmware supports UVC (USB Video Class), allowing the device to operate as a driver-free USB camera when connected to a compatible host. The controller also supports infrared transmission control and includes USB Type-C, an HY2.0-4P expansion interface, 6 exposed GPIOs, and power pins for external hardware integration. These features make it suitable for IoT monitoring, smart-device control, wearable development, and educational embedded projects.
