7Semi Compact SCD43 CO2, Temperature and Humidity Sensor Breakout with I2C Interface
The 7Semi SCD43 CO2, Temperature and Humidity Sensor Breakout Mini is a compact environmental-sensing module based on Sensirion's SCD43. It combines direct CO2 measurement with integrated temperature and relative-humidity sensing, making it suitable for indoor air-quality monitors, HVAC controls, smart-building systems, IoT devices, thermostats, and space-constrained embedded applications. The SCD43 uses PASens photoacoustic NDIR technology and provides a CO2 output range of 0–40,000ppm. Its specified CO₂ measurement accuracy is +-(30ppm + 3% of reading) across the 400–5,000ppm specified measurement range.
The Mini breakout communicates through I2C and accepts a 2.4–5.5V supply, allowing operation from common 3.3V and 5V embedded systems. It supports automatic self-calibration (ASC), forced recalibration (FRC), periodic measurement, low-power operation, and single-shot measurements. At only 20 × 20 × 7.5 mm, the board provides the SCD43 sensing functions in a smaller footprint than the larger 7Semi SCD43 breakout.
