The 2.7-inch E-Paper E-Ink Display HAT (B) is a powerful and versatile display module designed for Raspberry Pi enthusiasts. With a resolution of 264x176 pixels and a three-color display (Red/Black/White), this display delivers sharp and vivid visuals that are easy on the eyes.
One of the key features of this display is its ultra-low power consumption. Thanks to the E-Ink technology, the display only requires power for refreshing, making it ideal for battery-powered devices that need to operate for long periods of time. Additionally, the display is capable of retaining the last content displayed even when power is turned off, ensuring that your data is always safe.
This display module is incredibly easy to use, with a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header that supports Raspberry Pi series boards and Jetson Nano. It also comes equipped with an SPI interface for connecting with controller boards like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and STM32.
The basis of the microcapsule electrophoretic technology used in e-paper displays is that when an electric field is applied, charged particles suspended in clear fluid move to the sides of the microcapsule, making it visible by reflecting ambient light, just like traditional printed paper. E-paper displays have approximately a 180 deg viewing angle and can clearly display images and messages in both artificial and natural light. As a result of its paper-like effect, it is typically utilised as an e-reader.
