Miniature Time-of-Flight Laser Sensor for Space-Constrained Applications (7.8m, 1g, ±4cm Accuracy): Lightweight 1g module with 7.8m range and high precision for embedded systems.
The ToF Laser Ranging Sensor uses dToF (Direct Time of Flight) technology and 940nm laser pulses to provide exact distance measurements up to 7.8 meters (±4cm accuracy), even in high-interference conditions (ambient light resistance: 100,000 lux). The ultra-compact design (19×12×10.3mm, 1g) and multi-protocol support make it perfect for robot and drone obstacle avoidance and navigation, robotics, IoT, and industrial automation. It is compatible with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and ESP32 via UART/I2C interfaces.
Ultra-Lightweight & Miniaturized Design
The sensor weighs 1g and measures 19×12×10.3mm, making it one of the smallest and lightest dToF options available. The 19mm³ footprint enables direct integration with micro-drones, wearable devices, or robotic joints without sacrificing payload capacity or mobility. The concept eliminates standard bulky optics, allowing for deployment in space-critical applications such as micro-drone obstacle avoidance and wristwatch gesture control.
High-Speed Dynamic Ranging
With a refresh rate of 50Hz, the sensor provides real-time distance updates, which is essential for applications demanding quick response, such as drone obstacle avoidance or industrial conveyor belt monitoring. The small 2-3° field of view reduces interference from ambient light and background noise, ensuring consistent performance in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Robust Anti-Interference Capability
The sensor is reliable even in 100,000 lux ambient light (equal to direct sunshine), making it ideal for outside traffic monitoring or construction sites. Advanced algorithms remove environmental noise, resulting in consistent accuracy in dynamic settings such as vehicle speed detection and material level assessment.
