SparkPNT GNSS Flex Module – LG290P: Multi-Band, Multi-Constellation RTK GNSS Receiver
The SparkPNT GNSS Flex Module – LG290P is a modular plug-in GNSS receiver board built around the Quectel LG290P, offering high-precision, multi-frequency, and multi-constellation support for advanced navigation and timing applications. Designed to fit into the SparkPNT GNSS Flex ecosystem, it uses dual 2×10-pin headers to connect seamlessly with carrier boards, breaking out three UARTs, I2C, PPS, and event signals on a standardized pinout. Its modular design allows for simple upgrades or repairs without redesigning entire systems.
The Quectel LG290P receiver provides concurrent signal reception across L1, L2, L5, and L6/E6 frequency bands, supporting GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, and NavIC. It also works with SBAS systems (WAAS, EGNOS, BDSBAS, MSAS, GAGAN, SDCM) and advanced PPP services (BDS PPP-B2b, QZSS CLAS, Galileo HAS, MADOCA-PPP) for centimetre-level accuracy. With RTK support, the LG290P achieves 0.8cm horizontal and 1.5cm vertical accuracy, and offers a fast 5s RTK convergence time. Equipped with a built-in NIC anti-jamming unit, the LG290P provides superior resilience against narrow-band interference and ensures reliable reception in urban and electromagnetically noisy environments. With support for update rates up to 20 Hz, 1PPS accuracy of 5ns RMS, and ultra-low-power operation with a backup mode as low as 12 µA, this module is ideal for autonomous vehicles, surveying, robotics, precision agriculture, and geospatial applications.
