The SparkFun Red Vision Touch Display for RedBoard is an integrated visual and touch interface designed to add interactive display and machine vision support to the RP2350 RedBoard IoT platform. It features a bright 2.0 inch capacitive touch LCD with a 320x240 pixel resolution, delivering clear visuals and responsive touch control for connected and vision-based IoT applications. Designed in the standard R3 shield footprint, the display plugs directly onto the board using male headers, enabling a clean, cable-free assembly. While the hardware is electrically compatible with other 3.3 V logic RedBoards and R3-style Arduino boards with adequate processing capability, the dedicated Red Vision code package is currently supported only on the RP2350.
This touch display shield also includes a dedicated camera expansion socket and an onboard I/O expander, enabling advanced use cases such as image capture, edge AI experiments, smart monitoring, and interactive user interfaces. Visual system feedback is provided through an onboard red power LED, making it suitable for rapid prototyping, education, and embedded product development where compact integration and ease of use are essential.
