I2C Controlled Qwiic Relay Module With DPDT Switching For Safe High Voltage Load Control Using Microcontrollers
The SparkFun Qwiic Relay 1x1A DPDT module enables safe and reliable control of higher voltage and current loads directly from low voltage microcontroller systems. Built around the Omron G6K 2F Y DC3 dual pole dual throw relay, this board supports switching up to 1A at 30VDC or 0.3A at 125VAC at 40C. It is well suited for applications such as motor control, automation systems, industrial interfaces, and smart device switching where electrical isolation is essential.
Designed for flexibility and ease of integration, the module supports both I2C based control and external triggering. The onboard TCA9555 GPIO expander allows low current operation at just 5.8mA using a 3.3V logic interface. With dual Qwiic connectors, the board enables solderless plug and play integration into I2C based systems, making it ideal for rapid prototyping and scalable embedded designs.
