Description
This breakout board utilizes the AP3429A from Diodes Inc., a powerful 2A step-down DC-DC converter. With an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, it offers versatile compatibility.
Designed as a full-size buck regulator, this board measures 1in. x 1in. and is specifically configured to deliver a regulated 3.3V output within a 3.9V to 5.5V input voltage range. The output is controlled by an enable (EN) pin, providing convenient regulation.
To handle excess heat, the board features a 0.6in. x 0.5in. copper pad, allowing for easy attachment of a heat sink to dissipate heat efficiently.
You can make a non-permanent connection using the pre-assembled screw terminal. Alternatively, you have the option to solder on a barrel jack for an external power supply. For a more permanent installation, five through-hole (PTH) pins are available.
For added convenience, our full-size buck regulators include a power indication LED that illuminates when the power output is enabled, providing a visual confirmation of operation.
The board is equipped with four mounting holes compatible with 4-40 hardware, ensuring easy and secure installation.
