Description
An IR emitter, also known as an Infrared emitter, is a device that produces light energy within the infrared spectrum. Typically, it is a small LED used for transmitting infrared signals via remote control. These emitters operate effectively at 940nm and are suitable for a range of IR systems. To drive the emitter, a current limiting resistor is required and it can handle up to 50mA of current, similar to other LED devices. The IR908-7C-F is a high-intensity diode encased in a plastic package. This miniaturized device emits radiation from the side of the clear package, thanks to the presence of a chip.
