Offline Edge AI Sensor for Gesture & Face Detection Applications: – 5 Gestures, 10 Faces, 3m (Arduino/ RPi/ ESP32)

The Gravity: Offline Edge AI Gesture & Face Detection Sensor is made for multi-person presence detection and easy gesture control. With its built-in camera and AI processor, the sensor can concurrently identify up to 10 faces or upper-body presences within a 3-meter range and recognize five predetermined hand signals. It provides responsive and private interaction without relying on the cloud by fusing real-time edge AI computing with computer vision.

This module is completely compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and graphical systems like MakeCode and Mind+. It has two communication interfaces (I2C and UART) and supports a wide voltage range (3.3V–5V). It is perfect for public engagement devices, touchless control systems, smart home interfaces, and privacy-focused Internet of Things applications.

Edge AI Processing: Offline, Real-Time, and Private

The inbuilt AI engine handles all recognition operations locally; no data is sent to the cloud or stored there. For sensitive applications like hospital automation, bathroom controls, children's systems, or public facilities, this fully offline operation ensures data privacy. It is appropriate for power-sensitive or standalone applications since, despite its strong capabilities, it typically uses only 100mA.

Recognizes 5 Intuitive Hand Gestures – Touchless Control Made Easy

The sensor can identify up to ten human faces or presences at once, detect head-and-shoulder patterns, and provide real-time position and count output in addition to gesture control. With complete offline privacy assurance, it's ideal for occupancy-based HVAC, lighting automation, and people counts in offices, stores, and smart spaces.
