Description
The 10.525GHz microwave motion sensor utilizes the Doppler effect to detect moving objects through microwaves. It distinguishes itself from regular infrared (IR) sensors as microwaves are sensitive to a diverse range of reflective objects. Moreover, its sensor readings remain unaffected by ambient temperature variations.
This type of microwave sensor finds extensive applications in industrial, transportation, and civil domains. Its uses include measuring vehicle speed, monitoring liquid levels, automatic door motion detection, facilitating automatic washing, material detection in production lines, and functioning as car reversing sensors, among other applications.
The microwave detection method has the following advantages compared to other methods:
- Non-contact detection
- Readings not affected by temperature, humidity, noise, air, dust or light - suitable for harsh environments
- Strong resistance to radio frequency interference
- Low output, unharmful to human
- Wide detection range and high velocity
- Supports non-living object detection
