High Resolution 64x8 DTOF 3D LiDAR Sensor with 120 FOV and 5m Range for Robotics Navigation and Obstacle Detection
The Gravity 64x8 Matrix DTOF 3D Laser Ranging Sensor is a full solid-state LiDAR module designed for advanced distance measurement and spatial awareness in robotics and automation systems. Featuring a 64×8 pixel array, this sensor enables simultaneous ranging across 512 points, delivering detailed depth perception for real-time environment mapping. With a wide 120 horizontal and 20 vertical field of view, it provides comprehensive coverage for forward navigation, making it ideal for autonomous robots, AGVs, and smart mobility platforms. The DTOF (Direct Time-of-Flight) technology ensures accurate distance measurement with reliable performance up to 5 metres.
Built for precision and reliability, this sensor’s area-array detection design offers significant advantages over traditional single-point LiDAR by enabling effective obstacle avoidance and blind spot detection. Its compact and solid-state construction ensures durability with no moving parts, reducing maintenance and improving longevity. Suitable for robotics, smart devices, and AI-based systems, this module provides a powerful solution for applications requiring real-time 3D sensing and environmental awareness.
Key Features
DTOF Laser Ranging Principle: Unaffected by Light Interference
The laser ranging sensor uses DTOF (Direct Time-of-Flight) multi-line laser ranging technology, which determines target distance by directly measuring light's flight time. Compared to classic infrared and ultrasonic ranging technologies, it has a strong anti-interference capacity against ambient light and temperature variations in daily circumstances and can operate reliably in both indoor and outdoor contexts.
120 Ultra-Wide Horizontal Detection FOV: Wide Coverage
It accurately captures all targets in the 64x8 matrix range directly in front. The 120 ultra-wide horizontal FOV significantly increases the accuracy of obstacle avoidance judgments and allows robots to comprehend their surroundings more fully.
Robot Forward Obstacle Avoidance and Blind Spot Detection
This DTOF sensor is specially designed for robot navigation, and easily solves two core problems: forward obstacle avoidance and blind spot detection. When robots move forward, collisions often occur due to narrow field of view, which makes them unable to detect furniture edges, low obstacles or narrow passages. It can be flexibly installed on the front of robots, robotic arms and other designated positions, accurately identify all obstacles in the specified direction and avoid them in time, ensuring smoother movement of robots.
Dual-Communication Interface+Multimodal Data Visual Output
The matrix sensor has both UART and Type-C connection ports, allowing for direct output of measurement data. It provides three output modes: single-point, single-row, and full-data output. It also includes a specialized GUI visualization interface that allows for the real-time display of measurement data, depth maps, and grayscale images, resulting in an intuitive presentation of ranging findings and imaging effects.
