The Gravity 360 Degree Rotary Encoder Module is a versatile digital input device designed for precise rotary control and user interface applications. Although it resembles a traditional potentiometer, it functions as a high-accuracy rotary encoder switch capable of continuous 360-degree rotation. The encoder generates 20 pulses per revolution, with each pulse corresponding to a physical detent, providing accurate rotational feedback for controlling system parameters such as brightness, volume, speed, and menu navigation.

The module features built-in LED indicators for each detent position, allowing users to visually monitor encoder status in real time. Communication is handled through an I2C interface, reducing microcontroller pin usage and simplifying integration with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other embedded platforms. A programmable resolution setting allows users to configure sensitivity from 1 to 51 steps per detent.
