FS5115M-FB High-Torque Analog Servo With 15.5 kgcm Torque, 180deg Travel and Direct Position Feedback
The FS5115M-FB is a standard-size high-torque analog PWM servo designed for robotics, RC systems, automation experiments, robotic joints, and applications requiring direct output-position monitoring. At 6V, it delivers up to 15.5 kg.cm stall torque with a no-load speed of 0.16 sec/60deg. Its 180deg operating range is controlled through a standard 500-2500us PWM signal, allowing straightforward integration with common microcontrollers, RC receivers, and servo controllers.
Unlike a conventional 3-wire servo, the FS5115M-FB provides an additional feedback wire connected to its internal potentiometer. This analog output allows a controller to measure the approximate physical position of the servo shaft independently of the commanded PWM signal. The servo combines a metal gear train, dual ball bearings, metal-brush motor, 25T output spline, and nylon + fiberglass housing for demanding robotic and mechanical applications where high torque and position monitoring are required.
Key Features
- 15.5 kg.cm Stall Torque at 6V: Provides high torque for robotic joints, mechanical linkages, and RC applications.
- 14 kg.cm Stall Torque At 4.8V: Maintains substantial torque at standard 4.8V servo supply voltage.
- 180deg Position Control: Provides approximately 180deg movement across the specified PWM command range.
- Position Feedback Output: Exposes the internal potentiometer signal through a separate feedback wire.
- Standard PWM Control: Compatible with common RC servo controllers and microcontroller PWM outputs.
- 500-2500us Pulse Range: Provides the specified command range for approximately 180deg movement.
- 1500us Neutral Position: Uses a standard centre pulse for convenient servo positioning.
- 0.16 sec/60deg At 6V: Provides responsive no-load movement for robotic mechanisms.
- 0.18 sec/60deg At 4.8V: Supports controlled operation at the lower rated supply voltage.
- Analog Comparator Control: Uses analog servo electronics for conventional PWM operation.
- Metal Gear Train: Provides durable mechanical transmission for high-torque applications.
- Dual Ball Bearings: Supports the output shaft with 2 ball bearings to reduce friction and improve mechanical stability.
- Metal-Brush Motor: Provides the drive power required for high-torque servo operation.
- 25T Output Spline: Uses a standard 25T output spline for compatible horns and mechanical attachments.
- Nylon + Fiberglass Case: Provides a strong and lightweight housing suitable for robotics and RC applications.
- POM Servo Horn: Uses a plastic POM horn for compatible mechanical linkage.
- 5us Dead Band: Provides the specified control dead-band width.
- Separate Feedback Wire: Allows position monitoring without changing normal PWM command operation.
- Standard-Size Construction: Suitable for robotic systems and mechanisms designed around common standard-size servos.
- High-Torque Feedback Control: Useful for detecting blocked motion, verifying commanded positions, and implementing higher-level closed-loop algorithms.
