The Fermion BNO055 Intelligent 9-Axis Sensor Breakout is a complete motion sensing and orientation tracking solution that integrates a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope, 3-axis geomagnetic sensor, and a 32-bit microcontroller into a single compact package. The onboard processor performs advanced sensor fusion calculations internally, eliminating the need for complex motion-processing algorithms on the host microcontroller. This significantly simplifies development while providing accurate orientation and motion data for a wide range of embedded applications.
The BNO055 delivers raw sensor measurements as well as processed outputs including Euler angles, quaternions, linear acceleration vectors, gravity vectors, and absolute orientation data. Its compact form factor and intelligent processing capabilities make it ideal for robotics, wearable devices, drones, gaming controllers, virtual reality systems, and industrial motion tracking applications.
