This dual-fan heat sink is built to keep 540 and 550 size RC motors cooler during long runs. It uses an aluminum alloy and plastic construction with a clip-on design, so it fits onto the motor can without complex mounting. Two 30 mm x 30 mm fans move air across the heat sink, which lowers the operating temperature of the motor. A cooler motor helps the RC car run more efficiently and reduces the risk of overheating.
The heat sink suits both brushed and brushless 540/550 size motors, which typically have a barrel diameter of around 36 mm. It is compatible with 1/10 scale RC cars, trucks and crawlers, including popular models from brands such as Traxxas, Tamiya, HSP, HPI and Wltoys. The fans come pre-wired with standard 2-pin connectors and run on 5V DC. They can be plugged into a free channel on the RC receiver or into a dedicated battery port.
