7Semi BO-10235 12V Fixed-Output Step-Up Boost Converter Breakout With 2.5V-5.5V Input And Overcurrent Protection

The 7Semi BO-10235 is a compact 12V boost converter breakout built around a constant-frequency, current-mode step-up converter. It accepts an input of 2.5V to 5.5V and delivers a fixed 12V output. It can supply up to 100mA at 12V from a 5V supply. This makes it a practical DC-DC boost converter module for small, low-power designs powered from a USB port, a single Li-ion cell or a regulated 3.3V or 5V rail.

The converter switches at 1.2MHz, so it works with small external inductors and capacitors. An internal soft-start limits inrush current and helps extend battery life. At light loads, it shifts automatically to pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode to maintain efficiency of over 85%. Under-voltage lockout, current limiting and thermal overload protection guard the converter and your circuit against output overloads.
