The USB 3.1 Type-C SMD 16P Female Receptacle Connector is designed for compact PCB-based power and data interfaces in embedded systems, consumer electronics, development boards, and portable devices. It features 16 contacts made from copper alloy, stainless-steel shell and mid-plate construction, and a high-temperature-resistant UL94 V-0 plastic housing. The connector is rated for 5.0 V and 3.0 A operation, making it suitable for USB Type-C power-input and compatible data-interface designs.
Designed for reliable repeated connection, the receptacle supports up to 5000 mating cycles with controlled insertion and withdrawal force. Gold plating on functional contact areas, nickel underplating, low contact resistance, and high insulation resistance support stable electrical performance. The connector also withstands lead-free IR reflow soldering with a PCB peak temperature of 260 C for 10 seconds, making it well-suited for automated SMD assembly and compact production PCB layouts.
