STS3020 High-Torque Smart Servo With Copper Gears, 360deg Magnetic Encoding And TTL Serial-Bus Control
The STS3020 is a high-torque TTL serial-bus smart servo designed for robotic arms, humanoid robots, quadrupeds, automation systems, and multi-servo motion-control applications. The manufacturer's STS3020-C001 specification identifies it as a 7.4V 20 kg. cm-class servo, while the detailed electrical table specifies up to 22.5 kg.cm stall torque at 7.4V and 19.2 kg.cm at 6V. At 7.4V, it provides a no-load speed of approximately 0.149 sec/60deg.
The servo combines copper gears, an aluminium case, core motor, ball bearings, dual-shaft construction, and a 12-bit magnetic encoder. It supports 360deg absolute position control, multi-turn operation, closed-loop and open-loop speed modes, and step movement. Half-duplex TTL serial communication allows multiple servos to share a common bus while providing feedback for load, position, speed, voltage, current, and temperature.
