SparkFun Red Vision Touch Display for Pico: Add Machine Vision & Interactive Control to XRP and Pico
The SparkFun Red Vision Touch Display for Pico is a 2.0 capacitive touch LCD designed for seamless integration with the Experiential Robotics Platform (XRP) Kit and Raspberry Pi Pico boards. With a 320 × 240px resolution, this display provides an intuitive interface for robotics, vision-based applications, and embedded projects. It features a dedicated 2×10 camera socket compatible with the SparkFun Red Vision Camera Board – HM01B0 (Color) or other 2×9 format camera modules, enabling image processing, object detection, and contour tracking using the SparkFun Red Vision Code package (MicroPython port of OpenCV).
The board also includes Qwiic support, a µSD card slot for memory expansion, and an onboard I/O expander to manage display, camera, and SD card I/O pins via I2C. With solder jumpers for selecting 1-Bit (default) or 8-Bit camera modes, this breakout makes it simple to configure camera performance for your project. A reset button is included for user convenience, and 1×20 male headers ensure direct plug-and-play compatibility with the XRP Control Board or Pico.
