The SparkFun GPS-RTK-SMA is an advanced GPS board that sets a new standard for high-precision positioning. Built upon the successful designs of the SparkFun GPS-RTK2, this board incorporates the cutting-edge ZED-F9P module from u-blox. The ZED-F9P module is renowned for its exceptional performance in high accuracy GNSS and GPS applications, including Real-Time Kinematics (RTK), offering an impressive three-dimensional accuracy of 10mm.
With the SparkFun GPS-RTK-SMA board, you gain the ability to precisely determine the X, Y, and Z coordinates of any object, all within the width of a fingernail. The ZED-F9P module stands out as it supports both rover and base station operations, providing flexibility in various applications. Connecting the board to your system is a breeze, thanks to the convenient Qwiic system that eliminates the need for soldering. However, if you prefer using a breadboard, we have also included 0.1"-spaced pins for easy integration.
The ZED-F9P offers an astonishing range of configuration possibilities. You'll be amazed by its geofencing capabilities, adjustable I2C address, variable update rates, and the ability to enhance the high precision RTK solution up to 20Hz. What's more, the GPS-RTK2 boasts five active communication ports that can be utilized simultaneously. These include USB-C (recognized as a COM port), UART1 (with 3.3V TTL), UART2 for RTCM reception (with 3.3V TTL), I2C (accessible via the two Qwiic connectors or broken out pins), and SPI.
