Description

The dual-bit noninverting bus transceiver has two programmable power rails. The A port is intended to monitor VCCA. VCCA supports supply voltages ranging from 1.65V to 5.5V. The B port is intended to track VCCB. VCCB may handle supply voltages ranging from 1.65V to 5.5V. This enables bidirectional low-voltage translation between any voltage node (1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, or 5V). The SN74LVC2T45 enables asynchronous communication between two data buses. The logic levels of the DIR input activate either the B-port or A-port outputs. The device sends data from the A bus to the B bus when the B-port outputs are activated, and from the B bus to the A bus when the A-port outputs are activated. The input circuitry on both A and B ports is constantly active and requires a logic HIGH or LOW level to prevent excessive ICC and ICCZ. The SN74LVC2T45 uses VCCA to supply the DIR input circuit. This device is completely specified for partial power-down applications with Ioff. The Ioff circuitry stops outputs to prevent dangerous current backflow when the device is switched off. The VCC isolation feature ensures that if either VCC input is at GND, both ports are in a high impedance state.
