The small-angle ultrasonic ranging sensor is a high-performance device that measures distances from 25 to 800 cm by utilizing clever signal processing circuits and built-in high-precision algorithms. This sensor is ideal for challenging environments, with a small blind spot of 25 cm, a 15° field of view (FOV), high precision (±2 cm accuracy, 1 cm resolution), fast response (0.9 to 2.5 seconds), low power consumption (<10µA quiescent current, <15mA working current), and IP67 protection. Its onboard temperature correction feature ensures that it runs dependably in temperatures ranging from -15°C to 60°C. This sensor can be controlled with an Arduino development board, and by following the wiring schematic and example code included in the tutorial, accurate distance measurements between the sensor and barriers or liquids can be acquired. Ideal for detecting water levels on smart manhole covers, reservoir water tanks, and rivers.
Small Blind Area
With a minimum measuring distance of 25 cm, the sensor has an extremely narrow blind zone, allowing it to accurately detect things at close range.

Narrow Beam Angle (15° FOV)
The sensor has a 15° field of vision (FOV), resulting in a narrow beam angle that is appropriate for sensing obstructions in tight places. This narrow beam angle reduces interference from adjacent objects, resulting in accurate observations.

High Precision and Fast Response
With high-precision algorithms and clever signal processing, the sensor provides accurate measurements with a resolution of 1 cm. It also has a quick response time of 0.9 to 2.5 seconds, allowing for real-time monitoring.
Robust and Reliable
The sensor has an IP67 rating, making it dustproof and waterproof. It also has an integrated temperature compensation function that automatically corrects temperature variances, ensuring consistent operation throughout temperatures ranging from -15°C to 60°C.
