The SM712-02HTGL Asymmetrical TVS Diode is designed to protect sensitive communication interfaces from electrostatic discharge, electrical fast transients, and surge events. With 200 W peak-pulse-power handling at 8/20 us, nA-level ultra-low leakage, and low clamping voltage, it is well-suited for industrial data-line protection where reliability and signal integrity are important.

This asymmetrical TVS diode supports 7 V or 12 V operating-voltage protection and is commonly used for RS-485, RS-422, and other differential communication circuits. It complies with IEC 61000-4-2 ESD, IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 lightning-surge immunity requirements, making it suitable for automation, instrumentation, energy-metering, and field-bus protection designs.
