This industrial-grade RS232 shield from DFRobot is designed to provide a reliable expansion of one RS232 port (D-Sub, 9Pin, male) on LattePanda Alpha, LattePanda Delta, and LattePanda 3 Delta mainboards. It utilizes an FTDI USB to serial port chip and an industrial-grade isolated transceiver module, providing signal isolation, power isolation, lightning and surge protection, transient impulse voltage resistance, and bus protection to ensure reliable data transmission and protect the mainboard.
This shield features a stackable connection and can be easily attached to the LattePanda mainboard using copper columns without blocking the heat dissipation area. It is suitable for use in industrial environments.
