The PAM2306DYPAA is a dual step-down DC-DC current mode converter engineered for high efficiency, compactness, and reliable performance in portable and battery-powered applications. This advanced dual-channel regulator delivers up to 1A output current per channel with excellent stability and fast transient response under heavy load conditions, thanks to its constant-frequency PWM control. To extend battery life, it features a Pulse-Skipping Modulation (PSM) mode that reduces quiescent current during light load operation. The PAM2306D supports a wide input voltage range from 2.5V to 5.5V, making it compatible with single-cell Li-Ion, Li-Polymer, multiple Alkaline/NiMH cells, and USB power sources. Each output voltage can be independently adjusted, providing design flexibility for multi-rail systems. With internal power switches and synchronous rectifiers, the device achieves high efficiency with minimal external components. In shutdown mode, the input is completely disconnected from the output, and the current drops to less than 0.1uA, ensuring ultra-low standby power consumption. The PAM2306DYPAA integrates under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protection to safeguard against deep battery discharge, all housed in a compact WFDFN-12 package ideal for space-constrained designs.
