Description
The MCP3008-I/SL is an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) designed by Microchip Technology. It features a 10-bit resolution and operates with a SPI interface. This ADC has 8 channels and supports a sampling rate of up to 200 kS/s. The input type can be either Pseudo-Differential or Single-Ended.The device employs a Successive Approximation Register (SAR) architecture and operates within a wide analog supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, as well as a digital supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V. It is qualified with AEC-Q100 standard, making it suitable for automotive applications.
The MCP3008-I/SL comes in a Surface Mount Device (SMD/SMT) package with a SOIC-16 form factor. Its minimum operating temperature is -40C, and it can withstand a maximum operating temperature of +85C. The ADC offers exceptional performance with a Differential Nonlinearity (DNL) of 0.25 LSB and an Integral Nonlinearity (INL) of 0.5 LSB.With a height of 1.25 mm and a length of 9.9 mm, this device is compact and well-suited for space-constrained applications. It is moisture sensitive and packaged in tubes for reliable handling and storage.
