Environmental Sensor Unit with SHT30 and QMP6988 for Temperature, Humidity, and Pressure Monitoring
The M5Stack U001-C Unit ENV-III is a compact environmental sensing module that combines an SHT30 temperature and humidity sensor with a QMP6988 absolute air-pressure sensor. It enables simultaneous measurement of temperature, relative humidity, and atmospheric pressure through a single I2C-connected module, making it suitable for environmental monitoring, weather stations, storage monitoring, and IoT data-collection systems.
The SHT30 provides high-accuracy temperature and humidity measurements with temperature accuracy up to ±0.2°C within the specified range and humidity accuracy of ±2% RH. The QMP6988 measures atmospheric pressure from 300 to 1100 hPa with 0.06 Pa resolution. Both sensors communicate over I2C using separate addresses: 0x44 for the SHT30 and 0x70 for the QMP6988. The module uses an HY2.0-4P Grove interface for convenient connection to compatible M5Stack controllers and includes two LEGO-compatible mounting holes for integration into prototypes and monitoring systems.
