Ultra Low Power 3 Axis Digital Magnetic Sensor For Compass And Magnetometer Applications

The LIS3MDLTR Ultra Low Power Digital Magnetic Sensor is a high-performance 3-axis magnetometer designed for accurate magnetic field measurement, electronic compass systems, and motion-aware applications. Featuring selectable magnetic full-scale ranges of ±4, ±8, ±12, and ±16 gauss, the sensor provides flexible magnetic field detection for a wide range of consumer, industrial, and portable electronic devices. Its 16-bit digital output ensures high-resolution measurements for precise heading and orientation calculations.

Designed for low-power operation, the LIS3MDLTR supports continuous measurement, single-conversion, low-power, and power-down modes to optimize energy consumption in battery-powered devices. The integrated self-test function, interrupt generation capability, and support for both I2C and SPI communication interfaces simplify system integration. Housed in a compact LGA-12 package, the sensor operates reliably across temperatures from -40 C to +85 C, making it suitable for demanding environmental conditions.
