JHE42B-S 5V Super Loud 100dB Buzzer Tracker with LED Alarm for DIY FPV Racing Drone - Dual-Mode Active Buzzer with 30-Second Power-Loss Auto-Activation and Built-In Charging for Betaflight, Cleanflight, and iNav Flight Controllers
The JHE42B-S is a dual-mode active buzzer and drone finder module designed for DIY FPV racing drones and multirotor builds where locating a crashed or lost aircraft after a battery disconnect is a practical operational requirement. Unlike standard passive buzzers that cease operation immediately when the main flight battery is disconnected, the JHE42B-S incorporates an internal rechargeable cell that is automatically charged by the flight controller 5V power rail during normal powered operation, allowing the buzzer to continue emitting a 100dB alarm tone autonomously for an extended period after main battery power loss. When the main battery is disconnected or fails in flight, the JHE42B-S detects the power-off condition and automatically activates its 100dB alarm tone and white LED after a 30-second waiting period, providing a loud audible and visual beacon to assist in locating the crashed aircraft in grass, undergrowth, or other obscuring terrain without any pilot intervention or transmitter input.
In its primary operating mode, the JHE42B-S functions as a standard active buzzer fully compatible with the buzzer output interface of Betaflight, Cleanflight, and iNav flight controllers, synchronising with flight controller arming status, warning tones, and user-triggered buzzer activation in the same way as a conventional active buzzer without requiring additional configuration beyond connecting to the flight controller buzzer pad. The built-in charging circuit manages the internal cell automatically - the red LED illuminates during charging, extinguishes when the internal cell reaches full charge, and flashes when the flight controller is powered off during the 30-second pre-activation waiting period. A physical release button on the module body allows the autonomous alarm to be silenced after the drone is recovered by pressing and holding for more than 2 seconds, eliminating the need to disconnect wiring or access the flight controller to stop the post-crash alarm. At 18 x 17 x 15mm and 4.3 grams, the JHE42B-S adds minimal size and weight to FPV racing drone builds while substantially improving post-crash recovery capability.
