Description
The ILX75176 is a low-power transceiver designed for RS-485 and RS-422 communication. It consists of one driver and one receiver. The driver in the ILX75176 has an unrestricted slew rate, allowing for high-speed data transmission up to 10 Mbps. These transceivers consume a supply current of between 120uA and 500uA, whether they are unloaded or fully loaded with disabled drivers, and they are powered by a single 5V supply.
The drivers are designed with short-circuit protection and are safeguarded against overheating by thermal shutdown circuitry, which places the driver outputs in a high-impedance state. The receiver input features a fail-safe mechanism that ensures a logic-high output even in the event of an open circuit. The ILX75176 is intended for use in half-duplex applications.
