Description
The BMM150 is a 3-axis geomagnetic sensor from Bosch that is designed for use in compass applications. It measures the magnetic field and compass angle in three perpendicular axes, with a range of +-1300 microtesla (uT) on the X and Y axes and +-2500 uT on the Z axis. The sensor is small and lightweight, and has a 2-bit DIP switch for setting the I2C address, allowing for four different addresses to be used.
One of the key features of the BMM150 is its ability to provide absolute spatial orientation without the need for calibration. This is made possible by Bosch's proprietary FlipCore technology, which has been carefully optimized to meet the needs of 3-axis mobile applications such as robot navigation and positioning, electric compasses, electric maps, navigation, and augmented reality. The BMM150 is well-suited for use in these types of applications due to its low-power and low-noise design.
