Description
An inertial measurement unit (IMU) is an electronic device that utilizes accelerometers, gyroscopes, and magnetometers to measure and report a craft's velocity, orientation, and gravitational forces. Today, IMU sensors are widely used in human-computer interaction (HCI), navigation systems, and balancing technology such as the Segway Personal Transporter.
DFRobot's 10 DOF (degrees of freedom) MEMS IMU sensor is a low-cost, compact device that integrates four sensors: the ADXL345 accelerometer, HMC5883L magnetometer, ITG-3205 gyro, and BMP280 barometric pressure sensor. Due to its small size, the 10 DOF sensor is suitable for most control systems, and its mounting holes provide highly accurate and stable sensor data. The sensor also features a low-noise LDO regulator for power input ranging from 3-8 volts, and is directly compatible with Arduino boards.
Version Upgrade: V2.0 has upgraded the barometer sensor IC to BMP280.
