The EDGE102-DMX512 controller is a powerful lighting control system that uses the DMX512 protocol to govern stage, theater, and venue lighting. This controller allows seamless connections to a wide range of sensors and devices via a variety of interfaces, including RS485, I2C, and UART. It is also compatible with Arduino, ESP32, and ESPHome for easy integration into unique projects. It provides programmable, sensor-based automation for lighting and other stage equipment, which goes beyond typical console-based control. Its dual-core architecture, which combines the ESP32-S3 and a specialized DMX512 processor, offers great reliability, versatility, and ease of use, making it an adaptable solution for modern lighting needs. The EDGE102-DMX512 controller stands out by allowing automated control of lighting and stage equipment via sensor integration. While traditional DMX512 systems require human operation via a control console, this controller enables for the installation of infrared sensors, sound level meters, and laser sensors, which automatically activate lighting effects based on environmental inputs. With 8 optically isolated industrial switch inputs that ensure compatibility with various PNP sensor types, it increases efficiency and lowers the need for constant human supervision in areas such as stages and commercial spaces.
Dual-Core Architecture for Stability and Wireless Control
The lighting programming controller's dual-core design, which includes the ESP32-S3 and a dedicated DMX512 processing chip, ensures reliable performance. The ESP32-S3 core supports WiFi and Bluetooth, allowing for remote control and user programming over wireless networks. This architecture simplifies programming, making it easier to set up complicated lighting systems while maintaining smooth connectivity with connected devices. The ability to program wirelessly using interfaces such as Arduino increases operational flexibility and user convenience.
